Introduction

This book is not an attempt to tell anyone what to do. Rather it is a message from Spirit coming through one particular channel. As Divine Mother says in the Epilogue to this book:

“Richard has written this book for all of us. It is his gift to the world. He is not asking anything from you except, if you are so inclined, to read it and come to your own conclusions about what he is saying.”

I am certainly not the first to speak of Ascension nor will I be the last. At the same time, it has been claimed that the Ascension teachings have as their purpose to control or mislead people. This is not so. Ascension is real, it is cosmic, and it is leading to a quantum change in human consciousness and freedom. One obvious manifestation on the level of everyday life is the computer revolution, which is likely a prelude to a future where telepathic communication is the norm. At the spiritual level, great changes are also underway, including the realization among so many people that, “All you need is love.”

Planet earth is shaking. Scientists continue to warn that global warming, rising sea levels, extreme weather events, growing numbers of earthquakes and the effects of massive solar magnetic storms may lead to catastrophic outcomes. Perhaps the most far-reaching change, almost too big to see and barely analyzed, is the ongoing shift of earth’s magnetic poles.

As celestial bodies are in fact gigantic electromagnets, the implications of changes in earth’s magnetic field could be long-term and profound. Meanwhile, we all know that the world’s leaders must  grapple in a much more positive way with such human phenomena as unchecked carbon pollution, destruction of species habitats, declining food and water supplies, failed financial systems, growing poverty, and the scourge of endless militarism and war. The reaction instead is often to increase institutional control and reduce the right of individuals to shape their lives according to their own inner light. But this won’t solve the problems.

The mythical date of December 21, 2012, has come and gone. The way that date was hyped as a doomsday milestone reflected mass uneasiness over the course of world events but was also a media creation fed by guesswork about the newly-discovered Mayan calendar and its supposed “end date.” Now, because no momentous cataclysm happened on that particular day, the same media can freely debunk any suggestion that the nature of the world really is changing.

In fact they used the December 21, 2012, story-line to demoralize people, first by inflicting a sense of victimhood, then by turning it into another end-of-the-world joke.  The masses in their blindness bought into the game emotionally. But the game ignored what I believe is the real message of the times. The message is that humanity has a unique opportunity to transcend the effects of the increasing world crisis by waking up from the spiritual sleep to which the human race has been accustomed for thousands of years. Such an awakening is in fact taking place.

Amid the verbiage and speculation, a growing number of souls are convinced that what earth has been manifesting points to a change so dramatic the word “Ascension” can justifiably be applied. Those content to remain in sleep have experienced change largely as increased stress. But whether or not the foregoing list of events connects to a specific calendar terminal point, it still demonstrates a cumulative transition in the life of the planet and humanity. There is likely to be a vastly different future facing us all that will require choices both individually and collectively, even if governments and people are more comfortable doing nothing positive or creative.

Metaphysically speaking, as this book will explain, the sun, earth and planets are clearly conscious beings on a higher scale than mankind. What we see are their external forms. We do not see their souls and spirits where they undergo their own processes of spiritual evolution. Are magnetic shifts, extreme weather events, violent solar activity, etc., actually cosmic growing pains from the earth and solar system transforming themselves? If so, might an increase in earth’s level of vibration also allow it—or Her—to become home to a higher level of self-aware humanity?

Whether this is so cannot be proven directly. But sensitive souls feel that a profound expansion of consciousness is underway even as the planet trembles. And while I believe an Ascension is indeed taking place, I think it has been distorted by fundamentalists who claim that only they and their co-religionists will be transported to some exalted dimension while lower-level mankind perishes. I would like to see some proof of this idea. Otherwise I believe quite justified in saying that any such fear-based scenario totally misses the point.

So let us find out what we must do to embrace epochal change, even as what is familiar is crumbling. For one thing, we need to become more responsible citizens of our planet and demand that the leaders of society do the same. Maybe it takes disasters to prod us to take action. From a spiritual standpoint, change may also provide an opportunity for an expansion of our experience of who or what God is and how a world Divine in its essence might function when matters affecting ordinary human life seem to be falling apart.

And are we really satisfied with human life as it has been lived on our planet? Isn’t it clearer every day that the world of war, oppression and domination of humanity by the privileged few must come to an end if humanity is to grow into a truly spiritual race? I believe that with Ascension, the social, economic, religious and political structures that have served these obsolete methods of control for millennia will no longer be viable. This is a good thing, though the transition may have dire effects on customary habits and assumptions.

If the visionaries are right, the human ego, which has created these structures mainly to protect its delusions and desires, is also obsolete. If humanity moves upward to a new understanding of love, kindness, compassion, restraint and selfless service, the ego must certainly be transcended. New structures that serve rather than exploit life must be created. Those who identify with the old ways may panic, while those who can simply let them go may feel perfectly at home on the New Earth. Might it not also be the case that if enough people find inner peace by raising their consciousness above the egoic level the planetary tensions that result in geologic cataclysms may also be reduced?

While much of what is happening appears to be coming out of nowhere, I believe that the new spiritual paradigm was foreseen by Jeshua ben Joseph “the Nazarene”; a.k.a, Jesus Christ, two millennia ago. I also believe, as did Rudolf Steiner, that Jeshua is here today in the etheric sphere, showing us the way to a living faith. But we should not settle for a relapse into religious sectarianism. It is often the case that the institutions that superimpose theologies and structures on the missions of their founders are the most shortsighted. Instead we need a movement to a higher level of spiritual principle, understanding, knowledge and practice that transcends all religions and ideologies and elevates our vision of ourselves to conscious actors in an infinite universe created by a loving God.

Moreover, I think it can be demonstrated that for at least the last couple of centuries, the Higher Powers and Divine Beings that help the Creator oversee the universe have also been here, accelerating their activities on earth and calling us to a universal vision. Collectively I call these beings the “Aeons,” using a term from the ancient Gnostic literature. Prominent among them is Sophia, the Divine Mother, representing the principle of Holy Wisdom. One of the teachings of the Aeons is that Jeshua ben Joseph came to earth from a high extraterrestrial civilization. Another is that age-old patriarchies must give way to rebirth of the Divine Feminine and its qualities of understanding and compassion.

Knowledge has been channeled from the Aeons through such works as the RA Material and the teachings of The Nine. Few among the general public have heard of these sources. Of course there are other channelings as well that claim to have information about Ascension. One of the purposes of my book is to bring the revelations from sources like the RA Material and The Nine to many more people.

Related to the channelings are many other indications of extraterrestrial contact, including UFOs and crop circles, which often project deep spiritual content. Also part of contemporary folklore is information being derived by people from near-death experiences, archetypal dreams, depth psychology, out-of-body travel and angelic visitations. The messages are clear—1) We are not “alone” on our planet or in the universe; 2) We are loved unconditionally by the Creator and the high spiritual beings that maintain order in the cosmos.

I believe it can also be shown that certain historical figures like Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Nikola Tesla and many others have been involved in preparing humanity for what is now transpiring. Helping guide the process have been the spiritual masters who have brought the wisdom of the ages to prominence over the past century, such as G.I. Gurdjieff, P.D. Ouspensky, Hugh Ripman, the Shivapuri Baba, the Gyalwa Karmapa, Abdullah Dougan, Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, Swami Ramdas, Pir Vilayat Khan, Black Elk, Master Ni, Emmet Fox, Joel Goldsmith, Sri Chinmoy, Swami Satchidananda, Tom Sawyer, Carla Rueckert, Edmund Bordeaux Szekely, Samael Aun Weor, Robert Monroe, Father James Stack, Omna Last and Sri Sri Sri Shivabalayogi Maharaj, all of whom are discussed in the pages of this book.

Of course there are many more spiritual figures of a similar stature. But I made a choice to focus my treatment on those individuals with whom I have had some personal connection over the course of a spiritual search that has now lasted more than forty years.

In the final analysis, it is up to each seeker to sort through the available material to find what speaks most dearly to the heart. As Swami Ramdas wisely said:

“The best rules are those which are self-imposed and not those made for the aspirant by somebody else. You know how you should progress on the path and what disciplines you have to observe. You are the best judge in the matter.”

Or, in the words of Lao Tzu:

“At the center of your being you have the answer. You know who you are and you know what you want.”

The ferment of our times has brought home to many the longing to attain a spiritual experience they find difficult to define yet sense intuitively is available through such practices as yoga or meditation. In fact there are many aspects of God-realization beyond the traditional religious formulas that stand open today to sincere seekers.

Indeed, I believe the result of Ascension will be to allow God-realization to be experienced by many more people to the extent that it becomes the guiding principle of human life. We have an opportunity every moment of the day to call on the Divine Beings, including the hosts of Angels that surround us, for their presence and help in making the required efforts.

Both Jeshua and the Aeons have used the word “Harvest” to describe the transition of those among humanity who are able to see it and choose to respond. I believe one thing is certain: it will not be the conquerors who inherit the earth, but the “meek.” These are the ones who are learning to live responsibly by opening their hearts to seeing God everywhere. We may see God in the infinite cosmos as revealed by both ancient wisdom and modern science, in the sun that gives us life, in the beauty and dynamism of planet earth and in the spirit of every living being on which our eyes may rest, ourselves included.

I believe that if a definition is needed, it’s this quantum leap in our vision of the Divine that we may call “Ascension.” But Ascension in this sense has to be achieved; it is not something just handed to us. We can start by meditating every day on the Spirit within, by giving ourselves to each other in love and service and by looking forward to each day in positive anticipation, not fear. Yes, we can do this; for we are Divine Beings also, as are the earth, sun, planets, galaxy and cosmos within which we live and through which the Creator is revealed.

Epilogue by Divine Mother

Richard has written this book for all of us. It is his gift to the world. He is not asking anything from you except, if you are so inclined, to read it and come to your own conclusions about what he is saying.

He has been studying the sacred teachings for quite a long time. And the conclusions he has reached are sound. It is indeed a time of vast changes that are taking place on earth right now. And what he is saying about these changes and how he sees the role each of us has in them is worth paying attention to.

Many people are frightened about what is going on. Others, like ostriches, have their heads in the sand. Neither attitude will take us very far. The fear is based on the assumption that we have something to lose. But this is an illusion. Since there is no such thing as “death” in the universe, what is there to fear? You will not be annihilated, even if the heavens and the earth pass away. Your spirit is immortal. You were created by God to be that way. Nothing can take it from you. Your only job is to realize it. And as far as denial is concerned, it is in vain. Nothing can stop the changes that are coming; indeed, that are already here. The intelligent attitude is to embrace them and to give thanks to God for caring so much about us.

Richard is correct that the Aeons have returned, although they have never been away. They are very high intelligences who are also created beings just like you and whose job is to help God look after and take care of His creation. Just as God has created billions of human beings, so has he created a lot of Higher Powers, angels, archangels, and other Divine Beings as well. Nothing should surprise you about that. And it’s not so much that the Aeons are back as that you now have a chance to become aware of them again and to interact with them. They are wise, they are full of love and they care about you immensely.

But you know that Richard is right when he says that the only way any of this is going to mean much to you is if you put your egos aside and sit down and meditate. Meditation means listening to the breeze, both outside among the trees and inside within your own being. You can get there if you find your way back home to the spiritual heart where your soul resides. Jesus told you all about it once upon a time as did Buddha and other messengers. Now they are back too, with Jesus taking a very active role, to teach you once again.

Listen to them. They love you, as do I. They want you to join with them in this incredibly important project that is going on just now: the creation of a New Earth. It is happening. It will change everything on your planet. But that is okay because things really do need to change, to become better, more humane, more intelligent, more holy.

This is what the Ascension is all about. Richard’s book can help you understand it.
