Return of the Aeons: The Planetary Spiritual Ascension by Richard C. Cook

Review by John M. Walsh – October 17, 2012

Return of the Aeons: The Planetary Spiritual Ascension by Richard C. Cook is a book that comes at the right time. All who are destined to read its pages will be inspired and uplifted. For some, it will be a validation of the path that they have long been on. For others, it will be new information that has come to them as a result of an awakening that they may or may not understand.

Cook has distilled a lifetime of spiritual seeking and learning into a highly readable work that is both a synthesis of ancient arcane teachings and esoteric meanings behind modern world religions, as well as a personal spiritual autobiography.  He writes with the attitude of a friend or brother. One gets the sense that he simply wants to get the good news about mankind’s divinity and ascent into higher consciousness out to as many people as possible.

Cook is a man of truth and integrity;  one need look no further than his courageous decision to blow the whistle that exposed the government’s negligence prior to the Challenger disaster. We follow him on his journey for spiritual truth and share in his personal challenges along the way.  Some may look at New Age believers as being naive and deluded, but Cook establishes himself as a rational and trustworthy person, lending an air of credibility that I have found to be sorely lacking in other New Age writings.

Personally, I loved this book because I was able to relate so strongly with Cook’s path, having been a spiritual seeker myself for the last 17 years.  My own experience has told me that without a doubt the planetary transformation that Cook speaks of is occurring rapidly. But one need not have even entertained the notion of Divine Beings and Ascension to be drawn into and affected by this book.  Laying out the common ideas and themes of the mystic practices in world religions, as well as the teachings of modern day sages such as Gurdjieff and Swami Ramdas, Return of the Aeons takes us on a spiritual tour of humanity’s history, present, and future.

Profound and simple teachings on how to connect with one’s own divinity, as well as the Divine Beings who guide and help humanity, are cast throughout the book.  Regardless of the amazing transformation we are experiencing en masse, the simple practices of serving and loving others, going inward and meditating, and seeing God everywhere are what all humans need at any time in history. Cook eloquently states the importance of such practices, while inspiring awe and wonder at the diversity of God’s creation with its many dimensions and legions of Divine Beings who are here to help us fulfill our divine destiny.

It has been said by many wise men that if you want to have peace in the world, first you must find peace within yourself. This book is a great place to start.

Mr. Cook, we appear to be heading toward an unmistakable spiritual convergence on December 21, 2012, that must be explored. I very much hope to open a dialogue with you about Christ-based planetary ascension, which is the focus of my work at my primary website, but first I must ask for your help on a preliminary matter. I do not see John T. Maxson mentioned in the index of your book on the Challenger. I wonder if you can confirm from your background research that my father notified U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley in writing before the January 1986 Challenger launch that conditions at Pad B were Criticality 1?

My deepest thanks, and I look forward to subsequent communication on global issues.
